In this pic you have to turn satnav to lock it and unlock it when I get some time I'll sort it out so you don't have to tilt it and I will put a pic and say what I did to sort it

Still did not get an answer.  Do I need the 4 button cradle or does the stuff I order with the lock (the gs cradle) take the place of this?  Anyone?  I prefer to not buy stuff I am not going to need or use.  Thanks.

Can't give you a direct answer as I'm not too sure I understand your question.

But, if you have an SE model with a non lockable cradle already on your bike then the parts list in the original post is all that you need to make it all lockable. OR.  you need to add a basic non lockable cradle to the parts list if you don't already have one.  Hope that now makes sense.

I did the mod myself a couple of months back and it works fine. The only fiddly bit is the key barrel to match your key but the BMW dealer will usually do this for free if you ask nicely. I'm just one of those chaps that likes to do it myself so it took me a while to figure it out.

I have the SE model with the hookup for the NAV V on it.  I'm just not clear if there is an additional cradle needed to mount the GPS from what came on the bike.  Here is what I have on the bike.

You need all the items on the original list.

Don't be confused by the diagram as that just shows you how it all goes together. All items in the diagram are not on the purchase list.

This is what you get - your power supply which is already on your bike you don't need the 4 button cradle

Pete,
just re reading this, is 4 50mm bolts and rubber washers the solution to non tilt of the holder..then plus your bm parts list
