Rear Wheel Nut
« on: March 04, 2017, 12:40:51 PM »
The skanky OE chain is only exceeded by the original wheel nut not only in finish but size as well a 35mm will do but a 34mm is better neither sizes that appear with any regularity in socket sets and more hassle to carry such when on the road, bought a nice new shiny wheel nut and hey ho fits perfect and comes in a 32mm found some tools from an old Jap tool kits had them re-plated and Bobs you uncle  :002:

I'm liking the look of the Nut :152: did you make that or did you get someone to do it?
After over thirty years behind the bars, I’ve still not done it all or seen it all.

Is it the same size as the S1000R or RR ?
They don't have any listings for the XR
Thanks

Honest answer couldn't make head nor tail of the Pro Bolt options took the original off and put it in my pocket to the NEC plonked it on the table at PB and said I want one of those.

But I'll take it off and put a vernier on the internal thread if you want.

Hi
Thanks for the offer, but I've emailed pro bolt, see what they offer.
On their site there are 2 listing, one for the RR and one for the R, nowt for the XR.
Expensive but lovely looking item, I know I shouldn't buy one but..... :164:

From the parts fiche it's a 24x1.5 nut - that should be all you need to search with.

It's a standard auto spindle size so you can buy one in 36mm in the US for less than a cheap 35mm socket.

Thanks Bob S. very helpful

Funny though, ProBolt replied to my email and sated they don't have a specific for the XR....ha ha ha

Unfortunately we do not have that model listed, only the S1000R or S1000RR.

Would either of these work?

Kind Regards,
Cameron
