New From Cincinnati OH (USA)
« on: March 06, 2017, 10:09:25 PM »
Hi all,

I should be picking up my new but slightly used (demo model, 115mi) white XR this Saturday. I already ordered the Shad panniers and top case and some other goodies to get me started. I'll have to feel out the seat and windscreen to see what works and what needs replaced.

Cheers
Joe

Hi JRE
Seems to be a good few signing on from ADVrider (I'm a lurker). You're all very welcome  :821:

Despite appearances the seat is actually very comfortable. Probably not as comfy as a DayLong but man they're ugly, especially on an XR. I've bought one of the HP seats but haven't tried it yet. Will report back in a couple of weeks.

The screen, in its top setting, works well for me. But then I'm only 5'9"  :015:

Thanks for the reply...yeah, the adv forum is the only other one most of us can even post on besides this one. Seems like some good info on here too. Thanks for the feedback on the seat/screen. I've heard similar that's why I'll evaluate them first. I did pick up a used MRA screen but I could flip it for essentially what I paid if needed. I'm 6'2" but long in the torso so I might be more like a 6'3" or 6'4" rider more equally proportioned  :016:
