Blue accents on white bike
« on: March 08, 2017, 06:42:28 PM »
I think I'm going to do mostly blue accents on my white bike with some more red here and there. Anyone else choose to do this on their bike? Most are going with red so I'm trying to be a little different. I like the bike I saw posted somewhere with the M colors striped on the side :)

Hi JRE.  I did a few touches to make my white one a little prettier.   Taste is in the eye......!!   It's certainly has had lots of compliments, but then it's generally such a cute thing:-)   I painted the belly-pan (had a paint shop do it), put some extra stickers here and there and bought some 'M' coloured tape and applied it with a hair-dryer to tuck the awkward edges.   Put a red oil cooler guard to give some relief to the front end and thinking of painting the front mudguard - not decided if all white or mix of red & white.  Hope you like!

Awesome...still waiting for a number of parts but this is it so far...

And the Shad top box (just resting on there since I don't have the mounting kit yet).

Looking very nice, don't think it would work for my red bike

I agree, I would definitely stay with the red/black if I had a red bike. Potentially gold accents that match the forks but that would depend on what's available and how closely they match the gold.

Like it - can you advise where you bought the blue bits?

The engine guards are Rizoma, the oil cap filler is Pro-Bolt, the bar-ends are Puig (warning, these are LIGHTER than stock so if you are sensitive to vibes...), I forget the footpeg brand off the top off my head but if you Google blue S1000XR pegs you'll find them pretty quick.

I actually added some decals and I order different rim strips to match the "M" colors.
