Ride safe Brother. I have owned two RT's and traded in my beautiful SE 44000 mile faultless one for my XR. I don't doubt I will have another in the future :001:

I have a new XR and whilst I'm getting on well with it, I have still got my 1200 GS LC in the garage.. I took the GS out on
Sunday as it has been neglected of late, but it's quality shone straight through.  Fantastic suspension and a really comfortable blast, ....... 'cos after all, the GS is no slouch either these days.

Many people say they are similar bikes, but apart from the seating position, they are quite different.  Thing is they are both
superb machines.

I agree, I have a GS Adventure with the wasser boxer engine and it is a superb bike, as is the XR.

Totally agree although completely different bikes both are superb. Had a new GS Rallye  the other week as a loan bike hated it took it back and got it replaced with the new GS A. First impression I've ridden smaller horses but after an hour I gelled with it and absolutely loved it had it 3 days and really enjoyed it. Totally different to my XR but still good fun and far superior to my old 06 GS.
