Thanks for having me along, Like I said my first S 1000 XR It was delivered on friday, spent saturday fitting a few parts, and Sunday riding in the Welsh Mountains , Just loving it, an amazing bike,

Agreed - of all the various Triumphs/ Aprilias/ numerous BMW's I've had/ used, IMO the XR (both a gentleman and heavy weight MMA champion) is the best overall motorcycle I've owned/ because it addresses all my needs & wants in riding. Also, because its so good, probably wont need another motorcycle for a long time to come (unless BMW comes out with something much, much better?!

If you press INFO on the left handlebar switch it displays "INAIR" which is the inlet air temperature that amounts to the same thing.

It's a bit crap TBH and one of the things I miss  :151:, I have an R1200GS loaner at the moment that can display ambient temperature all the time.  It has reminded me how much I used it on previous bikes.  Chilly this morning in the sunny South East 4.5 C  :190:

Thanks for that info, I'll check it out later, Yes I'd prefer it to be a permanent show, find it very important especially in the winter,

Collected my new Akra titanium today,  :001:  Didn't take long to fit, looks awesome ,

Just checked the inair temp, that's ok, at least only need to press once, then back,
