fork seal
on: April 05, 2017, 07:43:18 PM
while i was checking the tyre pressures today i found that the left fork leg is leaking .as i am off to Scotland for 5 days with some mates on the 13th i have been trying to get it booked in to have it fixed under warranty.i called 3 bmw dealers and the best i could get was for wednesday, so I'm hoping that i gets fixed in time. i was told that if its more than just the seal i will have to wait till after the bank holiday
fix it till its broke

And if you having been talking to Clarks sorry Blade!!! That's because when they opened mine up to do a fork seal they got more than they bargained on the parts took a week from Germany,in actual fact it was knocking on a fortnight by the time they realised what was wrong and ordered the parts.

It's not the fork seal per se it's the internal bush at the bottom of the leg that knackers the seal because leg is moving about.

There's a post on here or the other site that I put up a while think it was 1200/1400 miles something like that.

Wow...that's rather poor.. :086:
I must check mine for excess play...although there's no evidence of knocking or leakage that I can detect.
