Evotech Tail Tidy
« on: July 15, 2017, 10:01:34 PM »
So even before i got my XR, i took delivery of the Evotech tail tidy, based on how much i liked them on my 'Blade and S1000RR. That was nearly a year ago and i still haven't fitted it yet as i think i prefer the look of the snow shovel that's fitted as standard.

Anyone else think the same?

Cheers
Simon

I don't know about looks but I do know I prefer not to have a sh*tty stripe up the back of my jacket. Perhaps I'm getting old

I still intend to fit one at some point. Let me know if you want to sell it :)

To be honest: I do understand your feeling. I always said that the shovel should get replaced but I am getting used to it and it doesn't look that bad at all.
Other items require my euro's now.  :169:

I was going to get one, but I think it looks good standard, so may not bother.
I had one on the Multi

I'm another one who likes the snow shovel  :152:  I'm seriously thinking of getting the Carbon one from Ilmberger, think it should look ok.   :062:,

If I get caught in the rain (I live in So. Calif.) I'll want and appreciate the XR's "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" Snow Shovel rear fender. Also, just saying -  the XR is a purpose built "function over form" do-it-all/ long distance, upright sportbike and not meant to win any beauty contests (there's other bikes out there for that job).

I removed the "mud guard" as soon as I got mine home.  There's about half the protection without it.  I think the tail tidy looks strange on the XR.
Raptor exhaust / HP sport seat / BM crash bars / Nav VI / Dunlop Q3+'s / Puig screen / Synto levers / TPX radar detector / D.I.D gold X chain / HVMP bar ends / RRG cooler guards / Wunderlich f&r fender extenders & big brake lever / Hepco and Becker stand enlarger / R&G f&r axle sliders / rim tape

Its funny, i reckon i get more of a sh*tty stripe up my back with the XR as it is than i did on my RR with the tail tidy  :034:

Might get the Illmberger one as has been suggested....  :007:
