Dynamic Brake Light
« on: July 21, 2017, 11:57:14 AM »
Is there anybody out there that actually tested the Dynamic Brake Light and saw it function?
I tried everything in my power and my wife almost bumped into my XR but she did NOT see the Dynamic Brake Light working. And yes I have the Full option Bike with the according DBL.
So either it is not there, I can not brake or I do something really wrong.
Any body an idea on this? Thanks in advance.

Eric

I too have the SE model with all the gizmos so I assume I have the Dynamic Brake Light.

I have no idea what it is, does or why I would need it.

Hope this helps  :001:

It does indeed work  :152: :152: Let my son have a go on my bike and followed on the wifes. I was behind him and we came up on a village a little on the quick side (swiss police dont like any speeding through the small villages) .What followed i can only describe as a lot of "oh s**t" braking and low and behold the brake light was flashing for all its worth !!!

The DBL is supposed to flash during a sudden and/or hard brake action. It says in the manual sudden hard braking above 50km/h.
Tried it but the wife did not see the light flash or blink or whatever.

Okay, will try it again and drive faster and brake as hard as possible. Did you brake with or without ABS?

Anyone know if North American bikes come with it too?  Thought I read somewhere they don't...  :(

Out with the boys at the weekend and they said that the light was flashing correctly on my 2017 bike.  It was wet most of the weekend, so not braking too hard, but it was still flashing.  So I would guess that if yours is not, then it is probably not set up on your bike.
