HI from NY metro
« on: August 26, 2017, 02:12:40 AM »
Hi, I'm Snatch. I like long walks on the beach, engaging deep  conversation, earth tones and rescue puppies.
Sorry thought this was Match.com. You Brits run that fker too :)

So S1000R guy making the switch to the XR possibly. Very possibly. Like tomorrow.  There will be some necessary mods (like flatter bars) so I would welcome a forum full of knowledge.  I will share what little knowledge I have as well... which is very little. really really little... I'm relatively useless but I know allot about sports :)

At first the high seating perch and all that travel was kind of creepy but I started getting used to it and enjoyed the legroom. With a 34" inseam and knees that have been operated on and beat on for years, that high travel and tons of leg room was really welcome.
I've had an F800GS before so I'm not a stranger to these ADV ergos but it's been a while. THe XR is definitely like my GS and S1000R had a baby. I loved my 1000R but the XR will keep me from missing it.

It's a really fun bike!

Welcome to the forum Snatch!  I replaced my S1000R with an XR last year and, although I loved the R, I no longer miss it.  Enjoy your new bike and ride it like you stole it.
