Removing side light bulbs

Hi all, IV been given some can bus led side lights but I'm struggling to see how to remove the bulb holder as it is recessed when the dust cap is removed. Do you need a special tool?

Phoned my dealer and they reckon that they should just pull out ( on an O ring). I been pulling with long nose pliers to the point where I can see the headlamp housing flex and still no joy. Just gave them a squirt of WD40 and will try again tomorrow  :230:

 :431:  ignore all of the above. Not sure what it was I was tugging at but just found out that the sidelight bulb is behind the same cover as the headlamp bulb. Muppet  :157:
