Hi from PA, USA
« on: August 30, 2017, 04:37:07 PM »
Hi,

Soon to be an owner of a lightly used red 2016 XR.  Two weeks ago I crashed and totaled my Super Adventure, so while nursing my broken arm I went shopping.  Been in love with these guys since they came out but the vibration issue was a serious turn off.  Now that the issue is mostly resolved, I am glad to come back to BMW.  Hope to run into some of you on the road sometime once my cast is off.  Keep the rubber side down!

Hello and welcome. Don't worry about the vibes. Mine were barely noticeable by 1,400 miles with no mods.  :002:

Thanks!

To be honest I had an F800 ST previously that also vibrated like mad when I would flog it.  Loved the bike but could not do long Iron Butt days on her, and she is now sold to a friend of mine.

Welcome to the club! Don't let that "VIBE" thing scare you from this great ride. HVMP bar ends and retro fit Bushings + miles on the bike and really a non issue!  :305:
Nice to have another yank on board!

Saw you are looking for bags on the new ride. Member has 2 bags and top case for sale. Would  need to be  painted to match but 800 for all three is not a bad deal.   :152:

Looking forward to getting used to this bike.  Curious as to how similar it is to my 15 Multistrada in retrospect.

I would give it a couple days and try to create an account again. I think they are still getting their chit back together. I will see if I can get some contact info for you if you want.
Let me know. Mike

I would appreciate the info if you do not mind.  Just got the quote from my dealer on what they would cost to order new...yikes.

Sent him a personal message and comment on his thread he started. No response yet. Guy has made 3 post since May so apparently does not go to the site too often! I will keep ya posted and yeah easy to get sticker shock when you see what retail is on Bags!
