GP-shift/reverse shift
« on: August 31, 2017, 01:34:19 AM »
Hello XR-owners!
Picking up my new to me 2016 XR this weekend. Tried searching the web but could not find any info if it is possible to convert to GP-shift on the XR.
Having had that on all my latest road bikes and also on my current S1000RR race bike I would like to have it on this one also if possible.
Does anyone know? I suspect the Shift Assist Pro could be an issue?

Best regards Frode

I'm looking too. Nothing. The most likely candidate would be an Attack style linkage that has a link and bellcrank to reverse travel, keeping the rest mostly "stock".  Or an Annitori style frame mount pivot to reverse direction. I'm still researching and hoping to put something together this winter. Bear in mind that the transmission shaft will still have to move in the same direction, so there is no issue with the shift assist mechanism as the forces remain the same. Keep us posted if you find anything.
