Chicago chiming in
« on: October 14, 2017, 12:01:18 AM »
Hello all. Just picked up my 2016 XR last week. Loving it! Haven't had it out for a good, long run yet. Maybe next week. Hope to "pick some brains" on mods and other such things that pop up in the near future.

Safe travels!

Hello Bobby, welcome to the forum. Let us know your first impressions, once you get some miles on the road.

Welcome - IMO, ya got one of the "best, if not the best" all-rounder motorcycles there is. As for mod's, well????? - essentially, you can drive the XR off the showroom and not really have do a thing (one the 1st motorcycles I can say that about, for me anyway). However, that being said... I got an Oil & Radiator Guard (Cox, but there are others) - Front Fender Extender (Puig) - Givi Kickstand Foot Print Enlarger. Only other item is an MRA Windscreen, which many like/ prefer (for me, I find the stock screen to be pretty good, but in the same breath I'm considering the MRA, there are a few others as well).

Enjoy your XR
