Greetings from a new norwegian S1000XR owner
« on: October 18, 2017, 03:20:08 PM »
Hi guys, new member from Norway. 46 years young, enjoy both speed and rock`n`roll, hence the nick  :002:
Got my white 2016 S1000XR 10 days ago. A beautiful machine with only 2900 km/1800 miles on the counter.
My old K1200S is for sale, but will probably not go before spring next year. Since winter is approaching I will not be able to do many more miles on it this year. May the winter be the shortest in living memory  :015:
So while I wait for the spring and summer to arrive I will have to spend a lot of time on this forum, deciding what mods to get for my new baby. Hmm, let`s see; new windscreen, rim tape, tail tidy... :002:

Hello Speedking and welcome to the forum.  Enjoy the rest of the riding season and +1 on the shortest winter ever.  :002:

Welcome!

All beautiful scenery - but rather severe speeding fines  :005:

You'll have cabin fever until you can get out in good weather!

Thanks guys.
We do indeed have beautiful scenery in Norway and crazy speeding fines, but you have to ride smart. I haven`t got a speeding fine since mid-90`s. Calm down in the straight 60 sones and play as you like in the twisty 80`s. And no speed cameras will bust a biker  :001:

I was in a taxi from Aksdal to Olen, and the young driver got pulled for doing 85kph on the open road.   There was already a bus in the layby - getting fined!  :156:

My driver was fined around 3,000Kr and got 6? points off his license.  :006:  I guess it would take him a lot of fares to make up that money.
