G’day from Oz
« on: November 02, 2017, 11:22:16 AM »
Hi there from Newcastle on Hunter. Have owned my red XR for two years and have finally joined this forum. Really love this bike. Had a GS1200 for a short time but didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Bit boring after my gen1 and gen2 busas. I just use the XR for fun rides with the mates and the odd track day. Recently rode to MotoGP at Phillip Island doing 2500km. Awesome trip. Fitted radguards to the bike the day I got her home. Also have MRA screen, pussy grips, barkbusters and have just finished fitting Akra headers. My only mod to due is get some decent levers. Thinking Synto evo. Any ideas? Anyway, looking forward to getting and giving info on this incredible bike. Cheers. Mark.

Is that Newcastle NSW, or another smaller Newcastle up the Hunter valley?

Great wine area, as I remember.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. Here is a photo of my lady and I picking up my shiny bitch from the dealer.

Yes, I live very close to the Hunter wine region and have been known to partake. Some say to excess. Went for a blast after work today for a shakedown of the new headers. WOW! May be my imagination but the mid and top seem to be very good. She runs way cooler as well which was my aim.
Keep the rubber side down. Mark.

I've just changed to the color green.  I love those levers.
