I think the stock exhaust is pretty ugly but I'm not shelling out hundreds for a new one,,,,,yet ! How do you get the thing properly clean !

I wash mine with the same cleaner as the rest of the bike and then a coat of WD40, seems to work fine....

I use Auto Glym Tar remover which works a treat. Seems unfair even on cold wet days that tar spots bake onto the can.

I wear the grime, tarnish and other collected bits on my exhaust with pride.
I think I slopped a chunk of blueberry pie on that exhaust can once. Still there.

Use kitchen cleaner (to remove all the grime)
That will leave streaks, so clean that off with brasso or Stainless cleaner.
Not as hard work as it sounds
