morning all from dorset
« on: December 07, 2017, 10:31:13 AM »
hi just joined this forum after buying my 16 plate xr. have had sports bikes since passing my test in 86 including zxr`s and many gixxers including my last four bikes being gsxr1000s. never thought i`d own a bmw and certainly not before i was 50 :008: but fancied a change and took the xr on a test and well its now in my garage. looking forward to many entertaining miles both here and abroad.oh and got my first ever speeding ticket on my second ride out  :230:

Bad luck on the speeding ticket, as the copper said to me when I told him it was my 1st: "no sir it needs to be your last"

Hello  billywizzz and welcome to the forum. Enjoy the XR, but stay away from those coppers.   :001:

and it seems this bike has now passed to me via Completelymotorbikes in Cheltenham

I have 3 points on my licence that expire on 19th Sept. Place bets on me having a clean licence on 20th Sept...

Welcome  :400:
Interesting how some people still possibly have perceptions of BMW's being for 'older people' only. Of course they now have a comprehensive range to suit all styles from beginners onward and arguably the most sophisticated sports bike of all in the RR
