Hi anyone had these three bits painted or done themselves? Hard to find pics of the mudguard hugger and belly pan bit done on the www.
I have a red XR and think it would look awesome ! Any pics of your bikes please show them

Hi, I painted the std hugger to match the bike's graphite grey and added a white Power Bronze belly pan and attached self made decals to compliment the bike's stripes.
I am a paint sprayed which of course helped.

Power bronze look ok actually! Like the cobra can too, plus I have the carbon decals on boot guards,
Actually thinking of just painting OEM belly pan red no. Where did you get the black pillion handles from? So much better back end

They are genuine BMW for the base sport model, you buy direct from a dealer or sometimes they come up on Ebay or maybe a someone has got a set for sale on this forum.

Yes no problems, it comes as you'd expect with everything you need (brackets bolts etc).
The only thing I did extra was cover the black joining plate below the oil cooler with a clear protective film, as this is prone to collecting all kinds of crap from the front wheel.

I painted hugger , mudguard and belly pan but in my opinion it was too much and just kept the belly pan which really sets the bike off nicely and something bmw should do as standard. If you are going to use RS Paints then dont order the standard s1000xr red colour as it does not match too well . They said it was the correct colour for the bmw colour code and that if I wanted a better colour match to send them a part off the bike. Never got round to it but best to send the small fairing wing on the right side.
2 years on and love this bike soooooooo much. Mike

Looks good, think just going to do the wings on the belly pan and leave it black at the bottom bit.
Is yours all red? Including the big by the tire? Looks good
