New clutch lever issue?
« on: December 31, 2017, 04:08:10 AM »
I have just fitted new adjustable levers to my bike and the clutch side has given me and issue which I wanted to see if anyone else has had the same problem? The torx bolt that holds it on to the mount won't now screw out and even with persuasion from the underside refuses to screw out again. It just turns. Any solutions ?

Did they supply new torx bolts, or did you use the originals ?

What are the best levers to get? Puig? HP? I was actually thinking getting just a clutch HP one fitted at first service.

I wish I had done the same now and had an HP one if they fir straight on? I still cant remove the bolt though and the clutch is slacked right off, so no tension holding it. The bolt just spins so may have to be drilled and put a complete new mount and new lever at this rate ?

My lever is secure, no operational issues.  Let us know how you make out.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Puig Levers, I have used them before without any dramas. In fact I have ordered a pair for the XR just waiting for delivery. Quite a bit cheaper than the HP I believe, and good quality. I am not sure what has happened to Activejeans bolt.
