Hi there new member here although I bought the XR back in August 2017. Awesome bike been on a few trips. Very addictive bike. Most people seem never to have heard of them, regularly get people asking what it is.

Hello Nev and welcome to the forum. I love owning such a unique bike.  It's nice to go just about anywhere and not be a copy of everyone else.

Welcome to the forum & congratulations on your XR. When I got my XR last February (I live in Southern California), I didn't see many around, however, as the months passed I saw more and more. On my ride last Saturday, I saw three of them. Also, it's not unusual when I'm stopped at a motorcycle hangout/ getting gas, that someone will me ask me how do you like it? how are those handlebar vibes? etc. etc. Many of these riders have GS's, RT's, K's, with some considering KTM's and Duc's. Anyway, IMO - just saying, I think popularity & sales for the XR will greatly increase in 2018, if nothing less, as times moves on it could develope a good cult following?
