Which replacement Indicators
« on: January 25, 2018, 02:51:23 PM »
Hello again all, 2nd topic in as many days.

I've managed to crack the front right indicator unit on the bike. I've been searching for a replacement and came across this website which stocks single units (rather than a set) for ~£35 each.

https://www.bmw-motorrad-bohling.com/uk/bmw-led-turn-signal-long.html

There is nothing on the specific to the S1000XR but I assume they are the same as the S1000R.

Do I need the 'long' or the 'not long' version. They are both the same price. My understanding i s this refers to the base of the indicator not the protrusion length.

Many Thanks
Sean

That’s my understanding as well,I put a set of Led indicators on my K1200r and length wise as in the base to tip of the indicator they all measure the same 104mm,all 4 on the X/R and the fronts on the K are the same base the rear of the K is what I would term long as in the base so yea i’d go with the not long but i’ll post a photo if you want.

Hi

Yes please do post a picture.

So you recommend going for the normal version not the 'long' version?

This is what I guess they say is long and on the back of my K

This what is on the front and I guess 'Not long'

This is what is on the front of my X/R and looks the same as the above.

The complication is the front of the X/R does it look the same as the other two?? because if it ain't there's 3 options

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but I have managed to damage my front right indicator and need a replacement.  Did you figure out the right one?

Th short option are all the same but the important bit is make sure you buy originals the Chinese sh#t have bullet connectors as opposed the BM option.

Plenty of options but I see there is a pair on German eBay for 39 Euro.
