Hello all
Just wondering if anyone else has the base model or the sport model not the SE
I'm picking mine up this week can't wait.
Called in to my dealer today to pick a reg number and bike was in workshop getting assembled, so he said I could go through and have a look ,so I did, well chuffed.
The only thing that bothered me a little bit was the forks are black (which I can live with) I just thought they all have gold forks.
They said that the sport model comes with black forks, can anyone shed any light on this one .
Cheers bazza

I never knew the non SE came with black forks. I'll bet that looks great. Got any pictures?

I have a white XR SE and would prefer black to the gold. I think the black would look better on the red model also.

Yep, they'd match the rest of the bike better.

Please let me know what it's like... The black does look better and I have ordered the sport but I'm torturing myself now wondering should I go for the s.e... I tried out the esa on the demo model and couldn't really tell a difference... Eager to hear from someone else who has ordered the sport

Me too in a way,but I was on a very tight budget and just couldn't stretch that far. Also been riding bikes for 25 years and won't miss esa cos I've never had it, but it would of been nice.
I'll let you know how I get on with it ,don't pick it up until Thursday, then I'm on a mission to get it to the first service ,shouldn't take too long
The black has definitely grown on me now

First I've seen in the black forks. They look pretty nice and would look great with my black rad/oil cooler protection.

Hello
Picked bike up on Thursday, I've done 430 miles now and it's got To be the best bike I've ever owned, well pleased with it
You were asking johnboy about the non ESA ,well there are no complaints from me
just on the standard settings did a few of the passes in Cumbria, hardnott pass and wrynose pass which have tight hairpin uphill bends and bumpy as well and the xr soaked it all up no bother.
