Hi guys, just bought a Mat Blue XR I pick it up from Alan Jefferies on Thursday, (22/2/18) traded in my R1200GS, I just fancied a change.
What’s the best must have extra for thus bike?

Hello Flyalfa and welcome to the forum. As far as the must have extra, that will be very subjective. I say get the radiators protected with guards. Very costly to replace.

Hi Otto,
Many thanks, I have them on the list. I wonder why BMW don’t put them on as standard.

Agreed. The guards should be included. The cost would be nominal.

Hi Flyalfa.
Ha Ha Ha Hope you have got a massive wallet. Worst thing you could have done in asking this lot what extras to get. By the end of tomorrow you would have spent more than the Bike cost.
.
By the way

Some cracking roads in our part if the world, the XR won't disappoint for sure.
Slightly larger screen works wonders, Nav V worth having, bin the pannier rack pending travelling, keep it in dynamic..

Well, a big change is what you have got!
Rad guards a must
New levers - possibly
Bigger screen - possibly
NAV-5 or 6 to utilise the thumbwheel (if sat-Nav is your bag)
Enjoy the bike!

Enjoy the bike!
Handguards - One ride in the rain and they're a 'must' after that.
Welcome to the board!
