For sale: 2015 Ducati Multistrada 1200s Touring DVT
« on: February 26, 2018, 10:41:04 AM »
Hi all,

Have been lurking on this forum for a while as a guest.
I currently own a Ducati Multistrada 1200s DVT, but after recently test riding the S1000XR (yes I know I should have tested it before the Ducati!) I now want to change to the BMW.

So my Ducati is up for sale for anyone interested:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F253437737331

All details should be in the ad, but if you've got questions, just let me know.

Thanks all and I look forward to being a member!
Tim

They both do pretty much the same thing but in very different ways. They're both fantastic bikes. It's hard to objectively say which is best, it's all down to what floats your boat

I owned both, and in fact bought my 15 in 1 mile on the speedometer.  if it wasn't for the electrical issues and minor breakdowns that finally got me crazy, I would still be on that bike.  It is a very good machine, supremely comfortable, much easier to use the display than the crappy XR instrument cluster, and the leaning lights are amazing.  Further, it actually has fog lights that you can easily install.  On that basis it is an awesome machine.  The XR is more exciting to ride and if the vibration does not drive you bonkers, then that is the better bike.  But both are good machines with their pluses and minuses--if I could get the cornering lights, LED lights, and the instrument cluster on the XR I would be super happy.

I have an XR and have owned a DVT multi. I got shot of the multi because it kept breaking down. Awesome bike when it worked. Got rid of it and switched to an XR and am very happy I did.

The multi is now gone! Too many reliability issues.

Just put down a deposit on this XR: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201711201411593?model=S1000XR&postcode=gu12rz&sort=price-asc&advertising-location=at_bikes&make=BMW&year-from=2017&radius=1500&page=1

Just gotta wait for delivery now!  :001:
