SIDSTAND ENLARGER
« on: February 28, 2018, 06:57:21 PM »
Hi Folks
I'm looking for a decent "enlarger" for my XR's pathetically small sidestand, the Givi option looks good, has anyone fitted one ?
Thanks

Not tried that one, but Cymarc do one which is a sandwich of 4 plates, which allows you to use 1,2,3 or 4 of the plates to suit your requirement - just saw the bolts shorter.

Each plate looks to be 6mm or thereabouts.

Just fitted the Givi. Have to say  - it is huge!!! Fits perfectly and is very well made and maybe a little over-engineered, but seems to work great! I try to remember to post pics later.

I fitted the R&G side stand shoe  Part Number PKS0082SI   £39.99 not sure how that compares to others on price, but it does fit well.

I have SW Motech which is really good and easy to fit. No issues at all and I’d recommend  :046: :047: :305:

Yes, I have the GIVI and very happy with it, also it fits "tight"/ has never loosened up (according to "some" who have other brands, I've heard they can loosen-up)

I have the Cymarc one and it may not be the prettiest but it transforms the bikes ability to stay on its stand !!!

Loaded panniers especially on the higher suspension setting for luggage it was bloody unstable. Its great now !!!

Why on earth he doesn’t do the base out of solid alloy and do a proper job i’ll Never know he must have a 5 year old making them at the back of the workshop or at the very least make each plate the same which they ain’t.
