I like flip helmets and I like quiet helmets and I'm in the market for a new one...

MY choice for replacement Helmet is the X-LITE   X-1004 FLIP FRONT.   Not the cheapest but a great helmet.  This will replace my shark evoline  Flip Front not a bad helmet but having had XLITE before they are my helmet of choice.
Everything  Will Be Alright In The End, If Not Then Its Not The End.

Well - everyone has their favorites. For me, it's the modular "Shark Evoline Series 4 Pro Carbon". Typically other modulars have 2 functions/ features, (1) full face (2) flip-up, completely open. However, the Shark has a (3rd), which is full face open with a choice of using visor up, or visor down, which I use all the time

I've gone for the BMW system 7 not cheap and the first one did go back after about 2000 miles, the visor kept popping open at speed when I turned my head and the rain leaked in form the top of the visor "I was not impressed"  BMW replaced it with a new one which seems great, so maybe just a bad fitting.  It's a quiet as all the Schuberth helmets I've had and just a comfrey my head sets fit in just great and very light good visibility and aero on the XR with the screen up and down.

I have tried it with it in open face mode OMG it's light then!
After over thirty years behind the bars, I’ve still not done it all or seen it all.

I tend to wear Arai RX7/RX7GP mostly, but bought a Shark Evo 1 recently - for touring.   Will see if it is actually any good before summer comes

Just had to order another set of rear pads, bloody hell they don't last long, yet the fronts last forever. Must use a lot more rear brake than I think, do tend to drag it into corners if I'm pushing on but never used so many rear pads on any previous bike. :087:

Yes mate, finally given up on the Shark Evos, so many issues, such a shame because the idea behind them is great. Now probably going to go for the Shoei Neotec 2 or the Schuberth C3 pro, but interested in other modular options. Also considering the HJC RPHA 90.
