So Bahnstormer ring me today to say that they've tracked the latest problem down to a faulty regulator, new part ordered & should be here tomorrow. So if your battery goes below 11 or so volts, your stuffed, fault codes gallor & no go! Going to be using my optimate a lot more now!

Faulty regulator in a new bike? Interesting. Let us know how this goes with the replacement. Thanks for the info.

I had this on a Triumph Street Triple 4 years ago, but wouldn't expect anything like this from BMW. Let's hope this is a one off.

I still reckon that pressure washing the bike is what caused the issue, I will politely ask them not to do it again when they service it next.!

I pressure wash my bikes, carefully. They probably aren't as careful as an owner would be.

Well picked it back up Saturday, the say that some diodes in the regulator had blown, so new regulator fitted! They only went & washed it again even though I had only ridden it home from last time, 14 miles?
