Second time xr owner after a few mistakes
« on: April 15, 2018, 07:29:46 PM »
Hi folks, pleased to say I have returned to the best bike in the world... I had a 2015 xr sport,  which I stupidly traded for a brand new fireblade last year (don't ask).... Put 220 miles on the blade and sold it. Then I bought a new Thruxton R in December,  put 300 mile on it and sold it,  just taken delivery on my 2018 xr sport s.e in hp colours and I am loving  it..

Welcome back!
Over the years, I've made a few purchasing mistakes and had to circle back to what I had. BTW, I was thinking the other day, that the XR (one of the best, if not the best overall performing motorcycles I've owned), will probably not need to be replaced for a long, long time, which is a good thing for my pocketbook.

Bought a Triumph Sprint in 2016 on impulse which was fine until I discovered the XR. Fell in love with it and traded the Triumph in with 1500 miles on the clock. Lost £2500 but it was a price worth paying for the sheer joy of owning the XR  :152: Still got my 2001 fireblade which I cant bear to part with just yet :400: back  :305:

I traded a monster 821 that I had 8months for my Xr....
.914x.6096x.914. Only if she is 1.6002!
Sounds better in us measurements.
