Shad Top Box
on: April 20, 2018, 01:05:23 PM
Finally decided to take the plunge and order a Shad SH58X top box (the expandable one). I ordered online through Fast Bike Bits and got box, mounting plate and inner bag for £265 - I know cheaper options may be available but I liked the "expansion" idea and needed a treat. I've already got the OEM panniers but I reckon they'll only be used for proper continental tours! The Box will do the job for weekends away.

Now need some time to fit the thing - hopefully this weekend!

Got a full Shad system on mine, the SH36 panniers and SH48 top box.
Great pieces of kit, waterproof, and so easy to install and remove.
Perfect for touring with the better half, when we get a chance  :028:
Since taking the pics, have added a backrest and a carbon cover to the top case...

I have the Shad panniers already and really like them and bmw top box 30L, which is very good for just me but as the Mrs planning on coming on a couple of trips I’m thinking of either the sh48 like yours or even the sh58X as it’s more versatile with a flatter profile on small setting.  :305:
