on:
April 21, 2018, 06:30:49 PM
Four of us left my house today I went first cause I needed fuel followed by mate on a z1000 my neighbour on his new multi and mate on a gs pulled up down the road to wait for us
By the time us two got down the road to them my neighbour was gaffer taping his mirror back together dropped his multi turning round to wait for us he’s a great mate but falls off or drops Bike so often feel sorry for him but it’s like he always says bikes can be fixed bones take longer

I gave up talking about my age when I reached 93. And haven't spoke about again for the last 12 years.

With my Multi I found it easier to get off and push when manoeuvring as the clutch bite and engine snatch makes low speed U turns a BITCH of clutch slip and higher revs to keep it smoother.
This are some of the reasons I swapped to an IL4 - wanted the same power and torque but without the BIG bottom end power holes - especially when they have to for emissions / noise limits. I have ridden vTwins since 1990`s but despite the power the lack of bottom end on the Multi meant it was the end of my patience.
The XR will start off even if you accidently left in 2nd gear - just needs a bit more revs - the Multi would have stalled and dropped you on your arse.
