Having traded down from an HP4 to a R1200RS a year ago the lack of hilarity was all too much for me so am in the process of trading it in for a 2017 XR with 1750 miles on the clock. Can’t wait for the handover and will sample the delights fully when I track it in a few weeks time!

Many thanks. I am a big fan of the S1000 engine so much as though I loved the torque of the RS  the XR seems a better choice for my style of riding.
Now all I have to do is work out what if any modifications are necessary to the stock bike.
