MRA Vario Touring Screen
« on: August 14, 2015, 09:41:01 PM »
I received this today. The first shot is of the new screen overlaid against the OEM screen - you'll see that it's no higher but a fair bit wider than stock:

Then two photos of it in situ:

Please let us know what differnces you experience compared to the stock when you get a few miles on it!
Many people ride.....but for a select group of people it's more than a ride....it's one of life's great passions.

Just fitted a mra screen and can recommend them as I was going to sell my bike because of the wind noise but not now. HPS delivered mine within 48hrs. Great service. Well worth £112

Nice garage!  Clean, tidy and with a classic BM.  Great toy cupboard there in Wales.
I fitted mine yesterday (the MRA not the garage).  I had experimented with an old screen I had lying around (one of many!) and a dremel and to be fair it was much better than stock.
But on balance the MRA is better although lower than my lash up.
And of course it has that adjustability. It would be brilliant if they did a higher version (like they did with the Multistrada). I suggested this to Giles at HPS and will see what he says.
By the way the service at HPS is fantastic, personal, efficient and very pleasant.
More high speed testing to be done.

Cheers Pete

Installed a MRA vario today.

I had one of these on my Busa, and was always impressed.

With the screen down, you get a smooth blast of air.  Very little buffeting.  I have the "wing" adjusted out.

With the screen up, you can ride with your visor open up to three digit speeds.....

The only problem is that it is now very easy to go very fast.. :015:

...with the stock screen, I got turbulence over 120 km/hr....this subconsciously makes you back off.... not any more.... :007:

Couldnt get used to the standard screen. Found too much buffeting for me. MRA screen suits me perfect. No longer notice any buffeting. Im 5 11. Best upgrade on this bike so far.

I believe the MRA vario can be custom built taller for the longer person. Standard is good for up to 6ft but taller needed for bigger dudes.
Try contacting MRA for advice.
