Grounded (for now)
« on: May 02, 2018, 05:09:00 PM »
Hey peeps,

I was trying to get the bike up to the 600 mile mark so I could get the run in service done.

I had about 50 miles to go and decided to go for a blast last Sunday.

Ended up doing a 450 mile bimble around Scotland as it was a cracking day.

The bike is due in next Tuesday (8th) so I thought I'd call one of the guys at BMW to ask how close to the 600 miles you really need to be as the weather is looking decent for this Sunday too.

He said "Don't worry too much about it being bang on 600, you can take it up to about 800 if you want". I said I think that's a bit of a problem as I've done about 1000 miles now. He just laughed and said that's fine but I wont chance another run. So that's me grounded this Sunday.

Hopefully it will pour down so I wont feel so bad.

Dave
