Hi everyone, reading through the forum you all seem like a friendly bunch, so I'll risk sticking my head above the parapet and introduce myself .
Picked up the XR last week, so still wobbling around on it, and seems more fun each time out and not just because the weathers getting warmer. If any one knows how to "pop" overdrive on 5th and 6th it would be perfect, but its a great bike anyway.
I hope to engage with you soon.

Welcome, IMO the XR is the gift that keeps on giving. Also, just saying, but if you have any handlebar vibes, (my 16 model at around 6Kish became virtually butter smooth, no complaints from me, also I have to say that from the beginning it was really never an issue).
As for how to "pop" overdrive on 5th and 6th, I've have no understanding/ clue
what this means (maybe your not pleased with the factory gearing, if so, some on this forum has changed to taller gearing).
Over and out and enjoy your XR

Hi Arbourtek
to the forum...
As you rightly pointed out, we are a friendly bunch although there are a few "strange" characters partaking in some of the threads (you know who you are !!!! Yes YOU
With regards to "popping" overdrive, same as Mike, not sure what you mean

Thank you for your warm replies.
This language barrier thing is good fun. My casual remark to" pop over drive on 5th and 6th" is meant to be ironic as to carry out such a mega engineering job would be a colossal task, where as to pop something on is a simple task like popping a fastener closed on some Levi jeans. Hope that helps explain for non UK speedsters
