Hi there newbie from Manchester
« on: May 09, 2018, 09:30:09 AM »
Hi all

Just wanted to stick my head round the door and say hi to everyone, new owner of a blue 17 plate, only racked up a few miles but early indications are I'm going to get on well with this bike. Its quick, it makes me smile, the quickshifter is a revelation and I appear to be lucky enough not to suffer with some of the issues others have had like bar vibration, screen and seat issues. Saying that I'm coming from a 15 year old fireblade and a 14 year old tiger so it would take a lot of shaking and discomfort to disturb me.

I have a techy question but I'll find the right department to post that, thanks for having me.
S1000XR latest in a long list, 30+ yrs in bikes, Castrol 2 stroke flows through my veins, my suspension is shot and the bodywork is a bit knackered but still plenty of life left in this high miler 😁

Welcome to the forum. I am also in Manchester with a 17 Plate Blue one, with no vibration issues. Just trying to get used to an inline 4 again have had many KTM V twins.  Enjoy.

Fire blade - that would be what?  A 929?

Yeah - I think you’ll enjoy the new-tech.  :169:
