Flashing yellow warning light
on: May 10, 2018, 11:20:45 AM
Out riding on the XR yesterday, roads fairly quite, warm and dry so not hanging around, when cornering I noticed the TCS light flashing on both left and right hand fast corners, what's this all about??   :305: :006:
Do I have a retirement plan, hell yes I plan to ride.

Read your hand book  :008: it’s doing what is says in the instructions  :015: hence why it’s fitted.

Wow, amazing what you can learn reading the manual :019:

So I never noticed this intervention before, could it have anything to do with a set of new tyres? different profiles etc. or ?

I was out on Saturday with my RoSPA instructor, we're heading down a great road at the speed limit as in dead on I kid you know I'd be 20 to 30 mph faster down most of it anyway that's not the point.

On the road there are a number of hairpin bends now to make me keep my speed down I put the bike in rain mode I know there is no power difference but it just softens the bike out a bit, so I hit the first hairpin at like 10mph in first and at the apex give it a big hand full hoooo the yellow warning light flashes on!  hum I did not see any gravel, get to the next hairpin some.

Our little training session over and done, I head back down the same road with out the RoSPA instructor making some progress in Dynamic mode on the same hairpins no flashy light so I guess it's down to the mode and the angle the tyre is at and throttle potion.
After over thirty + years behind the bars, there's still lots to do and see.

There has to be some sort of award of pin we can give OP for triggering an “over performance” warning on the XR!!!  :020:
