Visited Tandragee this year for the first time, would recommend it. It fell on the May day weekend so we went over on the Thursday night boat from Birkenhead, watched practice on Friday evening 1500hrs-2100hrs. Saturday was race day so roads closed at 1000hrs, weather is the important factor for road racing, we were fortunate this year although Cookstown the week previous was blighted by showers.Getting away from the races afterwards was easy enough, unlike your average trip to some circuits in the UK.
All in all a good do, a paddock that you have access to without any payment or pass, no entry fee to the days racing but the purchase of a program goes towards supporting the efforts put in by the organsers. If you have never done Irish road racing it is well worth a visit, racing at its roots, nice people that enjoy an honest days racing and a good Craic.
Home on the Sunday evening boat to Birkenhead meaning as it was a Bank holiday weekend only needed to take one days holiday from work (Friday), it could be done on a tighter schedule.
