Haven't tried the Angle GTs on an XR yet, but I put the A-Spec versions on my Concours 1400 and they transformed the bike.  Also went with a taller sidewall (55 vs 50) and the grip and turn in are exceptional.  Just about 1,000 miles in so no idea on wear, although they still look brand new (see photo - remember my Connie is a good 200lbs heavier that an XR).

The A-Spec's have a particularly hard carcass, so if you are installing yourself be prepared for a little bit more of a fight.  But with the right tools/setup, its certainly doable.

Having tried both the Angel GT & the Metzeler roadtec 01s I am more than happy with either in both the wet,or dry. Great tyres with good wear...... :305: :305: :305:
