Engine guards with foot pegs
« on: May 31, 2018, 03:24:38 PM »
I’m looking for a solution to extend my legs during touring at highway speed. I was thinking about buying engine guards and attaching foot pegs to them. Any thoughts? Thanks

Sure, why not?  I have SW Motec guards on mine, it would be simple to add some pegs. Just pick a set of guards that have mounting points at the same height on both sides.

Also I’m imagining that chopper style of seating on an XR

I had highway pegs on my GS and found they made me cramp more on a long ride. With the ergos of the XR, I just stand on the pegs to relieve tension. Bonus is you get a good view of the scenery. It is a sports/ adventure after all   🤓
