Single seat - anyone?

Has anyone installed a solo single seat with gear attachments instead of passenger seat? I have been looking for this as an optional seat for solo touring and haven’t found any of the standard North American suppliers that have created this option (ie Sargent and Corbin).
Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm wondering the same too.  I always convert my bikes to single seat with a seat cowl and removal of the rear pegs.  I'd like to do the same to the XR, but I can't find anyone offering a hard shell to cover the pillion seat.
