I wonder if a different steering dampener would eliminate the wobble at speed that the Baron experienced on the track; any thoughts? I know a number of S1000R owners have replaced the OEM dampener with one from Olins or Scott's.

id say this is more to do with the nature of the bike mate than anything else. Its an upright touring bike at the end of the day... although its capable of these speeds its not really ever going to be doing it ...
