Well, just north actually - across the Golden Gate Bridge, where we enjoy some of the best moto riding on this plane of existence many call Earth. I feel extremely blessed as a motorcycle rider here (in general, really) and I recommend any/all of you to make your way to the SF Bay Area at least once in your life.
So yeah, I'm new here. Must be due to this new thing I have in my garage. It's white and "granite grey" with a scintilla of racing red etched across its hide. Not the most intimidating color scheme, but a scary beast just the same. Coming from a naked Honda liter bike, this exquisite specimen of German engineering has already brought me to a new level of moto consciousness in the short month I've owned it. As the new dance partner and I get better acquainted, I can only imagine how awesome our routine will become....
I have some work yet to do on the bike before we are totally in sync: the main issue being a rear that is too soft for my purposes. I've heard some excellent things about Tractive, and so a reworked shock/spring is in order. I also have my sights on increasing the seat:peg ratio to accommodate my arthritic knee. Nothing a built-up saddle and adjustable pegs can't help. Pretty sure I'll wind up installing one of the sweet aftermarket exhaust options out there, but that can wait a bit. Beyond that, I have some other goodies on order that will help me personalize the bike's appearance. Will post pics once complete.
I'm glad to see an active online community for our bike and look forward to becoming a contributor. Be well, ride fast, ride safe, take chances!
