18K Service cost
« on: August 08, 2018, 12:42:48 PM »
I know there are other servicing cost threads, but could not actually find any where people said what they paid for a 18K service.

So some people must have had it done by now, so interested in what they paid.

Also did valve clearances need adjusting ?

Cheers

Standard service as per service manual or something extra?

Just curious as I included in my finance the 3y/18Kmiles service package

18k service includes the valve check/adjustment(if needed) and fork service(as well as the usual suspects).

In the UK the 18K service plan doesn't include valve adjustment, only the check. :151:

Took mine in for its annual service last weekend and asked just out of curiousity and was quoted about £700, which he informed me included changing the  fork oil and checking the valve clearences. I have seen it priced at £995 on one dealers website but can't remember which one. It'll be a while before mine needs it but thought I'd ask while I was there.
If your not going to thrash it leave it in the garage !!

Yes, £695 on my previous bike.  Checked the valves but no changes needed.  10k left to go on this one, better start saving..... :003:

I was quoted £700 by Bahnstormer, so similar to what others have seen.

Will give Vines a shout and ask them too. I would like Bahnstormer to do it though as they have given me pretty good service so far.

Cheers

18k service is very expensive - £700k - I aim to trade my XR in before that and buy another one. Just waiting to see what changes there will be for the 2019 model. Hopefully a little more than cosmetic changes.  :305:
