Torch Bolt Size
on: September 20, 2018, 02:08:59 PM
I am trying to find out the correct Torx driver for the bolt that is directly underneath the nose of the bike.
Want to mount a camera and need to change bolt to a longer size.
Please advise size of Torx head and length. Printed on the head of the bolt is bmw A2 if this helps.
Thanks in Advance.

I just had to take that off the other day. It's a T25. A short one. About an inch long.

Sorry I don't know the thread pitch, but BMW has 3 different screws they use for the body work, all of them are the same diameter and thread, but have different length 'collars'. The screw under the beak has a short collar, so you may be good to use the Medium or Long collar screws. (there are long collar screws holding the bellypan on, and medium collar screws under the seat), Maybe you can try before you buy?

If you need to know the pitch, I'm sure Google will tell what the pitch of an M5 bolt is?
