Dark  screen.  R&G crash bungs.  Givi rad guard . Givi  hand guards.
Just need to find the right fixing plate for my trekker topbox and I  think that'll do for now....   maybe  :001:

mine is a 2016 model that I bought in July - it already had a posh HP seat, rad guard and RG big foot side stand. I bineed the OE luggage rails and fitted Givi quick release jobs and a topbox rack so I can make it a tourer very easily. Also added a RAM ball on a U bolt to the bars for the satnav. Couldn't see it needed anything else apart from fuel in the tank.

Hi Wessie.  Do you know the model number for the  givi  mounting kit  by any chance?

Didn’t think I was going to mod this one, but that lasted about a week!

In order of modification ...

Removed pannier mounts
Removed fork reflectors
Fitted uprated halogen bulbs
SW-Motech tank ring
Removed centre stand
Givi radiator guards
Wunderlich side stand enlarger
Techspec tank grips
MRA Varro tinted screen

I'm going for the Shad SH36 panniers and fitting kit. They use the OEM mounting points, so only 2 bolts each, and the panniers and kit cost just over £350 from Fast Bike Bits. Very popular with this forum's members I believe...
No-brainer.
The bike came with rad and oil cooler guards. I've fitted ABM Synto levers, dinky Puig footpegs, Evotech bar weights and an MRA screen (yet to be road tested). Tried a Puig sport one but not great. Awaiting delivery of an SC Project can.

there are 3 kits depending on which panniers you intend to fit, as detailed here https://www.givi.co.uk/my-motorcycle#BMW,S_1000_XR_(15_%3E_18)

I have the PLR5119 kit for standard Monokey cases

There are special kits for the V35 panniers which are not symmetric. There are also special ones for the massive CAM type pannier.

I ordered from an Italian retailer as their prices are so much lower than in the UK. https://www.accessorimotostore.com/ - select the English tab. Pay with a credit card that does not hit you with 3% fee and just 10 euros for delivery from Milan.

Dear All,

I am new here, but for only one question I would not like to open a new topic. For the 2016 XR which rad guard is recommended? The Givi or the Evotech? Thanks a lot for the help.  :028:
