2019 F 850 XR - XR's new sibling for 2019 ?
« on: October 30, 2018, 07:28:54 PM »
Morebikes have posted some spy shots of what looks like a F850XR for 2019.

Baby XR ?

Whilst it was rumoured, in recent months it seemed less likely, maybe not !    :002:

looks interesting but still as tall looking at the riders feet.
After over thirty years behind the bars, I’ve still not done it all or seen it all.

They could be trying the XR in the lineup in place of the GT for the "f" line.

Quite possible. In fact I see some german websites are suggesting it could be designated a F850GT, but with the unmistable XR styling I doubt it. We'll no doubt find out on the 6th Nov (EICMA) !   :001:

Exactly what I thought. GT was a good bike and a good price point, just a vibey engine that wasn't that enjoyable. It'll have to be good to beet the new FJ/Fazer09.

Do an XR version of the 850GS? Brilliant idea as a competitor to the Tracer and such like with a 17” front, I hate the front end stability with 19” front in the GS, and not to forget the S1 XR is 95% RR that needs real time earned experience to appreciate.
Not personally qualified to confuse cats, but I can recommend an extremely good service.
