Won't lower pegs equal less ground clearance in corners ?

Yes, lower pegs == less ground clearance.  Many won't push their bike over that far anyway so a reasonable mod for them.  I can't afford them but I like the HP rearsets because they are adjustable, ie, I could raise them for track days, and lower for normal riding.  On the other hand, I'm considering the engine guards just so I could mount some highway pegs in order to stretch my legs on long jaunts.

With the ground clearance this bike has I'm not sure these pegs would interfere with cornering.
Shado I have to wonder if the hip thingy isn't somehow connected to the lowered seat height.  Wouldn't that increase your hip angle?  Increased seat height = less hip angle??

Agreed grnmtvt I have just put the lowered seat on my XR and now have a chronic back ache this morning could be unrelated but seems a coincidence never got any bad back on the Trophy pain in the left shoulder but no back or lower back problems.  Shoulder problem is from a broken collar bone 20 years ago that did not heal correctly but too late to do anything now.

But thinking back {Excuse the pun} I was on the NineT yesterday great fun but uncomfortable maybe that is the reason for the pain today.

Agree for what it is very overpriced considering the lack of electronic toys which could still be there but hidden and the fact it is the old air-cooled engine so no development cost there only the getting it in to the bike.  Tell you the truth the Triumph Bonnie was a better ride not as fast but better pitch into a corner and on a retro its not about speed and over 4k cheaper.  Apologies I have a soft spot for Triumph my father had a few in his day and grew up with his exploits on the roads around Otley Ilkley and Skipton.
