Hello all,
I am super excited to be a new owner of a just broken in 2016 S1000XR. Only 2002 miles on it and a ton of add ons already done. I came from a DL1000 (V-Strom1000). It looks like there is a ton of info on this site and I thank everyone in advance for their expertise and support.
Thanks all,

Welcome!
Is yours a lowered bike, or is it an optical illusion?

I know, the checkers are a bit much. I haven’t decided if I will leave them or cover them. It is like a giant reflector, so in one way they are good. I don’t think the bike has been lowered. It was side by side another XR when I bought it and I didn’t notice the difference and the dealer didn’t say anything. But who knows the first owner did a ton of mods. It is funny that he only kept the bike for so few miles.

Congratulations, looks like a potentially sound purchase if the previous owner spent so much on it and did so few miles! Not sure about the pannier stickers either but I guess it gets you seen so may be a good safety feature?
