2015 Loaded SE - Value?
« on: December 12, 2018, 11:18:43 AM »
Hello folks,

I think i'm going to change next year, I'm doing less and less miles on the XR, so I'm going to swap and get one of the new S1000RR's and spend more time on the track. I'm aware that I can look in fleabay, however I wondered if anyone on here had an idea of what my XR would be worth? It's got all the knobs and whistles, was just after an idea before speaking to the dealer, and getting upset when he tells me it's worth £3.50...

12,000 miles.
Full panniers and Top Box including inner bags.
HP seat
HP Rearsets.
Full Arrow system.
Evotech - Tail tidy, rad guards, bar weights.
MRA Screen

TIA

If you have the standard parts it's worth selling your mods seperate. Dealer won't give much if any more for them on the bike. Also in my experience, be prepared to bend over and take the beating that'll be offered.
I part ex'd two bikes and a couple of grand for my xr and my S1000r was mint. Was advised that at 19000 miles it had done too many. 2015 bike. Had I not had a second bike which I put 25,000 miles on in a couple of years, that S1kr would have had 40,000!
I'm guessing 8-9k offer from dealer for yours being optimistic.
Good luck and keep us informed.

If you do decide to sell mods, give me a crack at the exhaust system :-)

...and not wanting to be a vulture and jump in,  but if you do remove the goodies please consider me for the HP seat (at this rate you will make a fortune before you even get to the dealer. :008: )

I totally agree though, the extra's won't help your dealer price much, I paid £10,900 for a 2017 SE from Williams BMW with 3200 miles on it last month in mint condition so I would guess you are looking at between £8k - £8.5k max for yours  Good luck  :002:

Strip off the extras and sell as standard as you can. I would expect £8k part ex for a bike of that age and mileage. If you sell the parts I would be interested in the tail tidy and full exhaust system.

Many for sale around the £9k mark. So you could expect dealer offers from around £6k depending on condition. And as others have said accessories, are better sold separately. As dealers will only offer the book price. That's one of the reasons I look for a newish bike with all the add ons when buying. less depreciation over new, and all the toy's for nothing......

Thanks for the replies, guess I'll be stripping the bits off after Christmas.

I'll put the stuff on here, before braving eBay....

I’d see if you can get the dealer to do the above as part of the deal, putting the god awful stock headers back on the very best of luck  :002:
